Hello ladies! Congratulations Katie! Will you be at Laura's wedding this summer? I'm hoping to make it out to the bachelorette party, my summer is still kinda up in the air. And that moves to the update...

Matt and I graduated May 11. He has been given his new job as an associate pastor in the Kalamazoo, MI area at a pretty big church. We'll be moving some time mid-June. It's a bitter-sweet move. It'll be a great church home, right next to where I'll be going to school to get my Masters in Social Work and its a great city. However, Benton Harbor is home to us now. We love our neighborhood, love knowing our neighbors, love the small city life that we lead and aren't real excited bout moving to the burbs. We had our last youth retreat and Sunday worship this last weekend, so we've said a lot of goodbyes already, but its still hard. But at the same time we know there are a lot of exciting things ahead.

The other exciting news I received this weekend is that I am going to be the proud aunt of a new baby neice, due in Septemeber. Chad and Meg are going to have a baby girl! I can't wait! Matt and I are also hoping to be the proud parents of a few yellow labs this summer...not quite as exciting, but no babies until i'm totally done with school! :)

can't wait to hear how everyone is doing!

Hi Girls!

I'll take a shot at breaking the awkward silence here :)

How are you all doing?!? I must say I'm a little disapointed in blogger for making us tie in this blog to our gmail accounts, but hopefully it won't be too much of a hassle or a tough transistion.

Things are going really well with me. I'm looking forward to what I hope will be a fabulous summer. There's a lot of exciting things going on: weddings, vacations, cubs games, and I can't wait! Many of you know that I decided to apply for business school in the fall for the class of 2010. As much as I love Chicago, my wanderlust is kicking in and I am currently thinking about schools in Southern California. You all can keep your fingers crossed for me! Other than that, I don't have too much exciting news, but I'll definitely keep you posted.

I am interested to hear how the rest of you are doing. With weddings and graduations and recent moves, I know that all of you must have some new and exciting things going on since we last actively posted. I hope that you all have wonderful summers and I look forward to hearing from you!

Molly :)

so i am guessing that no one will read this tonight, or maybe even in the next couple of days. but right now thats what i kinda need...to tell someone this, and for someone to listen, but not right now...

one of my students died. her name was adrienne holman. she was a senior. i will always remember her.

not because she was the brightest, or funniest, or even the nicest student. but because she was the first student i ever had who said to me, "ms. faver, you're my favorite teacher." she said at report card pick up last year.

adrienne died of carbon monoxide poisoning. and while i could write pages on all i have learned about how poor children face an almost insurmontable number of obsatcles before they even make it to my classroom, i dont want to. i dont want to grieve because of the uphill battle she faced in life as a young poor black woman in america, or all the other circumstances in her community and school that can be grieved over.

right now it just hurts because she was my student and to be cliche' - way too young to die.

Ladies of 205

Ok, so I have never been on a blog before!! Sorry I haven't posted... ahh ever, but I think it's a great idea!!!

My life has changed quite a bit, so I wanted to update everyone.

I moved from Minneapolis to Indianapolis in May of 2006 for a new job with The Finish Line in their buying office as their Women's Apparel Planner. Basically same job as Fields, but I get to be closer to Friends and Family.

I became engaged to the most wonderful Man in the world on July 1 2006 in Pentwater Michigan. It was a total surprise, which is near impossible with me so great job Sam!!

Sam moved to Indianapolis in Aug. We bought a house in November and moved in December. :) I am officially a grown up!

We will be getting married in June. Things are going very well and I love being back in Indy. I have already gone to 2 football games and 1 basketball game in btown!!!

I cannot wait to read some of your posts and catch up with everyone again!! MISS YOU VERY MUCH!!

Congratulations Annie! Yea for new jobs and new homes and all that jazz! You'll have to send pictures of your new home. And Congratulations Laura! Man, big things happening all over the place...I guess we've finally hit that place in our lives where everythign that happens is big :) I have 4 friends getting married and 4 friends having babies...ahh! Well, I'm counting down the days till May 11th, graduation can't come too soon. I love everything that I get to do in Benton Harbor and school just always puts a kink in my plans each week. :) We have a great time with a youth group that won't stop growing, we had 4 new people at house church this past Sunday, we had 6 new kids in sunday school and two moms come to church for the first time this last weekend. Its been pretty incredible to see all this change and new beginnings happening for people. I got involved with a homeownership training program for community members and I'm a peer mentor/accountability partner for one woman and she's looking at the possibility of buying a new home (the first home she'll have ever owned and she's in her 50s) in the next 6 months...super exciting. Its hard to transmit my excitment out of the context of it all, but things are great. No new jobs or babies or anything for me, but life is good. I miss you all though and want to catch up...

Anderson, South Carolina

Well girls, I officially got a job and a new apartment in about a month and moved down to Anderson, SC this weekend. I am going to be working at the Anderson County Public Library as a Reference Librarian. I start on Thursday. Anderson is on the western side of the state, in the foothills of the Applachian Mountains...a good location for me I think. It's about 8ish hours from home, and close to 3 airports. I am living in an old house that has been turned into a duplex...it's a little small, and there's not a lot of storage space, but it's in a good neighborhood, close to the library, and relatively inexpensive. I am excited to get started at the library, and sort of get the ball rolling...but these days off are nice to have so I can get unpacked and all of that. I am going home for Thanksgiving weekend to hang out with the family and then bring Homer back with me then...I miss him already!! So anyway, thats my big news...I will post more later...I hope you are all doing well!! Love you, ~Annie

Hi Ladies!

My September has been C-R-A-Z-Y so I haven't updated in a while. As Stephanie mentioned, I had a fabulous time visiting her and Eric (and Brandy) in the O.C. As much as I used to think that I was an East Coast girl, I could definitely get used to living in Southern California! Thank you, Stephanie for being such a wonderful hostess - I hope that you enjoyed (are enjoying?) having Eric's family visit.

The weekend after California, I went to my cousin Nora's wedding on the Jersey Shore. Let me tell you, friends: it was a blast. They played fabulous music - all of our Dave and Rae dance favorites. It was so nice to see my family again and my Cousin's new husband Dave is such a wonderful addition to our family. I also spent two nights with our friend Mari from IU. NYC really suits her and she is doing well!

I'm writing this right now from a conference I am working. It's pretty boring sometimes but it pays the bills, right? Let me know how you all are doing - I miss you all!

Stephanie and me in Laguna Beach

Love you all,

Molly
